The cure

“The cure comes through the process.”

“LOKURA means we’re healing through chaos.” — Nikita

Healing through making, wearing, watching or learning. Whatever you're feeling, whether you're wearing it, watching it, or in the room learning to make it.

Lokura gives independent designers a place to make, shoot and show: shared space, machines, materials and know-how. Brands are brands, everyone's independent. When we came together, it became powerful.

Upcycling

Rubble to treasure, scraps to masterpieces.

Collective power

Independent Designers building foundations  and growing together

Healing through process

Workshops, wearing, watching.

Shared resources

An open door for other designers. We support designers outside the collective just by existing.

World-building

Costume, stage, fabrication and fashion in one world.

In the studio

From the rubble to something beautiful. Nikita turns rubber into garments. Hunter turns trash into treasure. Every piece is cut, built and finished by hand.

THE VISION

Measured, pinned and reworked on the body until it's right.

“IF YOU KNOW HOW TO SEW, WELD, GLUE AND PAINT, YOU CAN LITERALLY MAKE ANYTHING.”
— Krista

What we're building

Front sells. Back makes.

A storefront in Downtown LA where we create samples, produce, shoot and show, with shared access to materials, all together. A showroom up front. The work in back.

01

Showroom

An appointment-only floor where every brand in the collective shows and sells its work, plus monthly pop-ups.

02

Studio bays

Private bays for sample-making and small production runs.

03

Machine room

Shared industrial sewing machines and cutting space nobody has to buy alone.

04

Photo studio

Shoot product for sites and socials without leaving the building.

For downtown

The bridge from streetwear to culture wear

Downtown is full of talented, fragmented streetwear brands working alone. Lokura brings them under one roof and shows the path from streetwear to couture.

→Expanding the creativity of downtown with a place to make, not just sell
→Supporting designers outside the collective just by existing: open doors, shared know-how
→Workshops, pop-ups and events open to the public
→Upcycling remnants and scraps into one-of-one pieces

Work with us

Like what we're wearing? Stop by. We'll show you our process, even if you don't make it with us.

Workshops

Painting, clothing and fabrication workshops. The cure, as something you can book.

Independent designers

Rack space in the showroom and studio bays for makers who need room to produce.

Partners & spaces

We're looking for our home in Downtown LA. Landlords, funders and community partners, let's talk.

Costume & stage

Costume, sets, fabrication and stage work. If we can sew, weld and paint it, we can make it.
